About Positive Discipline: A Guide for Parents

Positive Discipline: A Guide for Parents is an easy to read, easy to use guide that looks at some of the common parenting challenges parents may face from the birth of their child through their child's first days of school. It helps parents address common parenting challenges (like spanking and tantrums), using positive discipline techniques to guide behavior.

The guide was initially developed in 1999 and is based on the widely popular Positive Parenting curriculum as well as information gathered from research and focus groups sponsored by Children's Hospitals and Clinics. It has been culturally adapted into four languages, which have helped bring valuable information to parents across the country
